and she told me about how she e-mailed her geometry teacher to say she was teaching geometry and how her teacher ahd e-mailed back and called so that she could hear her voice...and how funny that what goes around comes around and how awesome it is that they are still in touch and what a "smart ass" she was when she was young

Ms. Moser and I were talking about advisories and how cute the seventh graders were, and how much I loved my “kids” and I commented that it I didn’t have any siblings, and she made the comment, oh so you are an only? and I said yeah. I said that I liked it sometimes, but often I am at a disadvantage because I can’t act well around other kids because I have grown up around adults. she commented that it really wasn’t bad, that I stuck out to her and that I was wise beyond my years, more than I could know. I don’t know why she would have said that except that I have chatted with her, but I haven’t said or done anything of note. But she just made me feel really good, telling me that she had remembered me and that I stuck out. She said that it was ok if I didn’t get a long with people my own age sometimes. maybe she talked to someone about me, I havent’ had many encounters with her…except for being in her room in the afternoons and being articulate, but I doubt wise. who knows….anyway, I, being very bad about taking compliments said, rather meekly, thank you, and she told me that that was a good thing and I said yes I supposed it was, and she said I should take it as a compliment and I answered yes…I should get better at that, it is al itle disarming when I can’t take a compiment, but I suppose well, I didn’t know what to say….nobody has ever told me that to my face, and my face without saying it to a group…and then we moved on and I said that it was really awesome to kind of get to be the “cool big kid” because never having had siblings I have never had that kind of respect before…but I think tomorrow I will say thank you for letting me hang out in her room, and for putting up with my chatter and how great I think the class is and what a difference it makes to have her and getting to go in there and ease the day off my shoulders that way.
